蘇麗珊 @ceciliaso 愛運動,曾挑戰馬拉松十公里,今年決定One Step Further向山行參加The North Face 越野跑挑戰賽,並且跟The North Face簽約運動員曾小強 @stone_tsang 上山訓練,學習上斜、學習落山,初嘗越野跑體驗。「我中學有參加彈網隊,每星期都跳3、4日,維持了密集的訓練4、5年,算是有運動底子。上大學後開始跑步,自己平時也很喜歡行山。今次見到TNF有越野跑,心想不如也試一試吧,我喜歡挑戰。」第一次訓練大約跑了6km,蘇麗珊不諱言這上斜路有點吃力,不過也學會了該用那裡發力、身軀及步法應如何配合: 「我覺得挑戰性幾高,平日行山比較輕鬆,但跑山好像有個目標要達成,例如有段路要跑上頂,我明明已經很累很累,但就叫自己要堅持堅持再堅持,我不能做包尾那個。」
Cecilia的目標是能完成12月舉行的The North Face 100香港越野跑挑戰賽14km賽事,認為「置身大自然已是一件很舒服的事,你上一秒覺得有煩惱,可能下一秒便覺得自己很渺小,不是很多東西值得擔心的。如果你感到壓力大的話,試試去做運動、試試去行山、試試去跑山吧。」她希望藉此次比賽經驗,能夠啟發更多人去探索自己的潛能:「我覺得,如果我都得的話,會否啟發到更多人?很多人覺得跑山是一件很難的事,我就認為:你未試過又點知呢?」

Cecilia So, known for her love of fitness, has completed 10K and half-marathons but is now this year she’s pushing herself one step further by joining The North Face 100 Ultra Trail Challenge Hong Kong. Training with TNF athlete @stone_tsang, she’s learning the ropes of trail running, tackling both uphill climbs and tricky descents.
“I’ve always been active, from my days on the trampoline team in high school to picking up running and hiking in university. When I saw The North Face 100 Ultra Trail Challenge Hong Kong, I thought, ‘Why not?’ I love a challenge.”
After her first 6km training, she admits the uphill stretches were tough but learned how to engage the right muscles and adjust her form. “Trail running pushes me harder than hiking. Even when I’m exhausted, I remind myself to keep going.”
Her goal is to complete The North Face 100 Hong Kong Ultra Trail Challenge 14km race course in December, and she hopes her journey inspires others to explore their potential. “If I can do it, maybe others will try too. You won’t know until you give it a shot!
